Announcements
Fellow Republicans,
We have several announcements -
For the past two years, we have given a Lifetime Achievement award to an outstanding local Republican. This year we are asking you to nominate the person that you think is deserving of this award. Please send an email to roanegop@comcast.net with your suggestion along with a few reasons why. We would appreciate your reply by February 6, 2009.
According to the Roane County Republican Party by-laws, we are required to have a reorganization convention every odd numbered calendar year. Our reorganization date is February 19, 2009 and it will be held at the Kingston Community Center. (The mistaken date of February 26 was identified in a previous email.) At this time the Roane County Republican Party Executive Officers will be elected to serve for two years. Please mark your calendar for the evening of the 19th and plan to attend.
The following invitation from the Roane County Republican Women is extended to all Republican men and women. It is not necessary to be a dues paying member to share an evening with others who believe in our core conservative values. Hope to see you there!!
The Roane County Executive Committee
The next Roane County Republican Women's meeting is Thursday, January 22, 2009. It will begin with a covered dish dinner at 6:00 PM at the Kingston Community Center. The guest speaker is Mark Laprise of The Refuge. He will share how his agency helps those in need. His presentation will begin about 6:30 PM.
